Kensington’s primary role is to supply and fit secondary glazing to residential and commercial properties throughout the North West of England and North Wales. For some properties the option to fit modern double glazed windows is not a realistic option, this may be due to the financial implications or because the property is a listed building or in a conservation area where the original features of the property have to be retained ,namely period sliding sash windows or old casement windows. This can be difficult for the property owner but it does allow preservation of historical buildings to remain intact for future generations to enjoy, so in these circumstances the fitting of secondary glazing is the preferred option as it allows the original sash windows or casement windows to be retained but you can still achieve the thermal improvements and noise reductions you were looking for.
All our secondary glazed units are engineered using lightweight aluminium, which can be fitted inside an existing window frame across a wide range of styles to match the layout of the original windows, this can range from period sliding sash windows, casement windows or modern domestic or commercial office style windows.
